Eamonn Holmes hits back with furious response after GB News ‘sacking’ accusation

Eamonn Holmes has clapped back after an Instagram account claimed he ‘sat back and did nothing’ when Isabel Webster was axed from GB News. The former This Morning presenter, 65, posted about his return to the broadcaster after the Christmas break today on social media.
He promised a ‘fresh, bright and different’ show with his new co-presenter Ellie Costello, 31. However, Eamonn’s comments appeared to anger one of his 789K followers, who claimed: ‘Your mate got sacked for not being right wing enough and you sat back and did nothing. With friends like you…’.
In response the broadcaster furiously hit back: ‘And u know nothing!. Isabel, 41, who joined GB News in 2021 after moving from Sky News has not publicly addressed her exit. However, Eamonn reacted once news of her departure was made public on GB News’ X account.
They wrote: ‘@IsabelWebster_ has also departed GB News. She presented her final Breakfast show alongside @EamonnHolmes this morning. GBN Updates wishes her the best for the future.’. Eamonn replied: ‘Bye my girl x.’. In Isabel’s most recent post on Instagram she told fans she was looking forward to this year.
