Conor Benn’s belated fight with Chris Eubank Jr will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium or Wembley, Eddie Hearn has revealed to Mail Sport. Saudi powerbroker Turki Alalshikh confirmed on Wednesday that the pair would had signed to meet in April, following a two-year delay to the original plans for an October 2022 showdown after Benn’s positive drugs tests.

With an announcement forthcoming on the venue, Hearn, who promotes Benn, told Mail Sport that the two options are the Spurs ground or the national stadium. A hosting deal is expected to be struck in the next 48 hours, with the precise date believed to be April 26 in the event it goes to Tottenham.

Wembley would require a different weekend in order to avoid a clash with the FA Cup semi-finals. Hearn said: ‘We are currently finalising all plans with His Excellency (Alalshikh). We are working through the details and will close with either Tottenham or Wembley.’.
