However this festive season, according to Reddit users, ITV bosses have axed the airing of old classic episodes of Emmerdale and Coronation Street. The change of scheduling has been flagged on Reddit in a post that read: 'Just to let you know, there will be no Classic Emmerdale on ITV 3 from [December 23rd] until the 2nd January due to the Christmas holidays, so films will be taken over. Same goes for Classic Corrie.'.

Actress Helen, 73, announced back in June that she was stepping away from the Cobbles following an incredible 50 years on the ITV soap.
