Emmerdale legend Lisa Riley has revealed her job insecurities in the increasingly fickle media industry – but has said if her character is killed off, she wants to do it in style!.
On the matter of potential job losses, she continued: ‘We’re just jobbing actors, and like I’ve done with all the all the other dramas that I’ve done, if it was the case then I’d go onto my next job.
During the overhaul, it’s understood that any redundancies made will impact production teams rather than cast, though the actress has still said that TV bosses treat characters ‘like chess pieces’.
‘We are all jobbing actors on the soap and there is never a day where we come in and go: “Oh we are safe”,’ she said.
