Emmerdale limo lake stunt leaves characters in peril as multiple deaths 'sealed'

Emmerdale will air some huge scenes next Friday as two limos crash – and one ends up balancing on an icy lake. A number of the show's biggest characters will be involved in the huge stunt, including Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), Caleb Miligan (Will Ash), Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano). Also in the boys' limo is Dr Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) as well as Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards), Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) and Sam Dingle (James Hooton).

In the girls' limo is Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton), Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) and Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough). Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson), Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) are also in the limousine – but which one crashes into the ice?. Teasing chaos ahead, actor Johnny McPherson, who plays Dr Liam, said: "Liam plans to propose to Chas but do it in an exciting and romantic manner. He’s heard Take A Vow have organised a valentine raffle, with the prize being a trip in a limousine. So Liam decides he's going to buy up about eighty percent of the tickets, just to make sure he's the winner.

"Sadly, that doesn't turn out to be the case – as Kerry wins. So poor Liam is then forced to come up with another plan to ensure he can still go through with proposing in a limo to Chas. So acquires another limo hired from Suzy and hopes his plan is sorted and back on track. But then he learns the girls have decided to have an entirely girls night hour in their limo, so Chas is no longer free that evening. He feels a bit defeated so it ends up with Liam suggesting that the lads could all have a night out in the other limousine.".

He added: "The night out starts with Cain, Caleb, Bear and Paddy, Mackenzie, Matty and Sam and Liam ready to go off. They are somewhat held up from leaving the village as the girls' limo has got delayed and is blocking their way. Liam is pleased so many have turned up suited and booted - all very James Bondesque. They've got Chas, obviously, Kerry the prize winner, Leyla, Suzy, Amy, Vanessa, Charity and Mandy but Mandy has to run off and sort an issue before they set off. So it delays them. Charity's driving the girls limo because sadly the small print in the raffle prize offer didn’t include a driver. And the other driver is Caleb.".

Matty star Ash Palmisiciano teased the episode will end on the most dramatic cliffhanger. "It starts off as every valentines night does - with all good hope. We are all dressed as James Bond. So much happens, there’s a big revelation that comes out and all I’m going to say is there’s so many twists and you will not believe where this night ends up," he said. "The first episode ends on this massive cliff hanger, when we all read it we were so excited because it ends on such a cliff hanger you’re not very sure the outcome into the next episode so it is very exciting. We had an amazing time filming it. You’re going to see quite a few different stories transpire throughout the night and the cliff hanger is one of the best ones we’ve had in a long time.".
