EPHRAIM HARDCASTLE: Could this week's royal walk to church mark the end of an era?

Could this week's royal walk to church mark the end of an era?. William and Kate, according to my source, would prefer a more informal Christmas with her family and would like to resume alternating between Sandringham and the Middletons. Camilla beats a hasty retreat to Wiltshire after Christmas to host her own family celebration.

Unlike his mother, who enjoyed an extended winter break at her Norfolk estate, the King heads to Birkhall after the Boxing Day shoot. The Sandringham Christmas tradition isn't set in stone. For the first half of the late Queen's reign, festivities were spent at Windsor.

Catherine, Princess of Wales, King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Catherine, Princess of Wales, Prince George of Wales, Prince William, Prince of Wales and Mia Tindall attend the Christmas Morning Service at Sandringham Church on December 25, 2023. The Sandringham Christmas tradition isn't set in stone and this year could mark the end of an era.

The King is a generous host and expects his house guests to be the same. Those who enjoy his festive hospitality are expected to liberally tip his staff. Apparently a guideline amount is 'suggested' in the itinerary sent to guests and being short of readies is no longer an excuse for being tight.

My source whispers that Charles now has a card reader available to encourage those who might try to slope off without paying their dues. Axed from the GB News breakfast show – apparently deemed 'too woke' – former Sky presenter. Isabel Webster, pictured, inadvertently showed her darker side on the airwaves.
