Erling Haaland has insisted he is paying no attention to the 115 charges hanging over Manchester City. Last Friday, Haaland signed an enormous nine-and-a-half-year deal with the Premier League side. The superstar striker will remain at the Etihad until at least 2034, with the Norwegian being handed a hefty pay rise to boot.

The 24-year-old will earn £500,000 per week, making him the highest-paid player in England. His massive new contract comes as the legal battle between City and Premier League chiefs continues to rumble on. The verdict from the independent commission is due to drop at any point, with sanctions such as relegation and points deductions on the table if City are found guilty. But Haaland has now insisted he is paying no attention to the case.

“I haven't thought of that, or anything," he said ahead of the Champions League trip to PSG. "I'm confident that the club know what they're doing. I just signed a nine-and-a-half year deal and of course. I'm happy with that!. “I’m super happy with my choice and looking forward to spending many years at Man City. When I signed for City, I felt like I was at home and I really meant it. I feel at home. I feel so happy, my family is happy. In the end that’s what I wanted. I’m happy.

"I feel like a positive energy in the club. It’s been a hard period - everyone knows that. I feel the energy and I think we’re over that now and we look forward in time. HAVE YOUR SAY! Should Manchester City be relegated if they are found guilty? Comment below.
