Girl band Remember Monday were announced as the UK's Eurovision act for 2025 this week, and people are only just realising where they've seen them before. Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull and Charlotte Steele, who make up the pop/country girl band, will represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest, according to The Sun, with the popular event happening in May this year. However, this isn’t the first televised singing competition Remember Monday have taken part in, as they initially appeared on The Voice UK in 2019, where they were coached by Jennifer Hudson. During their blind audition, all four of the judges - Jennifer Hudson, Will.I.Am, Tom Jones and Olly Murs - turned their chairs.

They sang Seal's 'Kiss from a Rose' for their blind audition and made it to the knockouts stage with their original song ‘Jailbreaker’. The girl band also caught the eye of BBC Radio 2 Breakfast host Scott Mills when they were played on the station last year. The country pop trio met in sixth form and have been friends ever since, making music together every Monday. They have described their sound as a “blend of modern and classic country, with a touch of pop and rock.”.

The trio have performed at several major UK events, including Country to Country and the Long Road and they have also had their own UK tour after a sell out headline show in London. Remember Monday have garnered 77,000 followers on Instagram and 524,000 on TikTok. They have even headed to the US – performing on The Jennifer Hudson show back in January last year. A post featuring their performance was captioned by the show “Reunited and it feels so good! @remembermonday_ has come such a long way since @iamjhud coached them on @thevoiceuk.".

One user commented on this post: “I recently found out about this group and now I’ve learned that YOU were their coach! This is incredible.”. Another added: “Most beautiful trio on earth!”. Further users said: “Going from watching you gals on the westend to now this. Proud as punch!!” and “Girls you are AMAZING! I love your songs! Sending love from Brazil.”. This year's Eurovision UK act is a major difference to last year when Years and Years main man Olly Alexander represented the UK with pop song Dizzy. A source told The Sun: “As ever behind the scenes competition has been fierce to represent the UK.

“This year bosses have opted to shake things up and send a female trio, Remember Monday. The song is a start change from Olly Alexander last year but the girls are sure to get the nation behind them.”. Remember Monday will be hoping for more success in the competition this year than Olly who received no votes from the public last May. Eurovision will take place in St Jakobshalle, Basel, Switzerland in May this year.
