Everything we know about The Night Agent series two before its premiere

One of Netflix’s most-streamed series returns to our screens this month, after a near two year wait. The Night Agent, which follows the novel of the same name by Matthew Quirk, impressed viewers – just shy of 100 million of them globally – to become the streaming service’s seventh most streamed series of all time.
Its plot follows FBI agent Peter Sutherland, who is thrown into a vast conspiracy about a mole intercepting the highest levels of the United States government. Given Netflix’s recent habit of cancelling new shows, fans were worried they would never get to find out where The Night Agent story leads. But with so much success under its belt, thankfully a second season of the nail-biter was confirmed by the streaming giant in March 2023, just days after the first series debuted.
As its arrival fast approaches, here’s a one-stop-shop of everything you need to know about season two. The 10 episodes that make up series two will be available for Netflix UK subscribers to stream from 8 am on Wednesday, January 23. Originally destined to premiere in 2024, the WGA strike ultimately delayed its creation by five months.
At the end of series one, we watch as Peter boards a jet and is handed a tablet containing a folder bearing the name ‘Night Agent: Mission Brief’. Setting things up quite nicely for series two, Peter has now levelled up from a low-level agent reduced to working in the basement of the White House to a full-blown night agent.
