The fan relayed he special moment to The Sun: “I remember it was a nice summer’s day and a guy came to pick up four or five cars at once - I looked at him and said ‘I’ve seen your face before mate.’".

To which Quinn replied: “‘Really?’”. Having seen Quinn play for West Ham, the pair reminisced about Quinn's career and what brought him to cars. Quinn admitted to the fan that he'd fallen on "hard times" but appeared very "content" with life now - despite his salary being considerably less.

Although the fan works locally, he has only seen Quinn once more since the meet. But others have taken to footie forums to share their fleeting encounters with the star.
