That sinking feeling of not being able to clear a windscreen quickly - and facing a steamed up interior - will likely cause stress for drivers up and down the country. But drivingtosuccess' short how-to video details how to unfreeze windscreens in just three steps.

They shared the tip via a short 24-second video, alongside the caption: 'How to defrost your windscreen'. The first step instructed drivers to simply place their car's heating system 'on high'. To demonstrate, the page posted a clip of a car's interior, while an anonymous finger pointed to the controls needed to increase the heat.

After turning the circular button right, and until it appeared to be cranked up to the max, they then moved on to the next tip. 'Put the front windscreen fan on max'. The camera then panned to a harshly frozen windscreen before cutting to another part of the video which showed the ice melting away.
