The series initially ran on the BBC for a decade from 1981 until 1991 and starred John Nettles as Jim Bergerac, a detective-turned-private investigator working on the island of Jersey.
Things then seem to take a turn as Bergerac is shown running down an alleyway and fighting with a man, while a couple are then seen arguing before a young woman faces imminent danger sitting on the edge of a building’s roof.
The trailer for the upcoming Bergerac reboot has shown the detective in the throes of grief following the death of his wife.
Now, a few months after fans got a first look at the new star of the show on set, a teaser trailer has been released.
