He underwent surgery on his fractured ribs and broken/dislocated arm yesterday, which was successful,' the star's family said in a statement on Thursday.
It was reported that emergency services arrived at the scene of the accident at around 2pm and had to use the jaws of life to free Shattock, who was trapped under the digger for some time.
