Furious Southport families slam decision to air Axel Rudakubana sentencing on TV The families of two of the girls killed in the Southport stabbings have said killer Axel Rudakubana's sentencing should not have been aired on live TV.
In their first TV interview since the attack, Bebe’s mum, 41, and father, 43, who spoke anonymously, slammed the decision to air Rudakubana's sentencing on live TV.
Elsie's parents, who have since set up a charity, Elsie's Story, to help children in need, said: "Everything she did was pure enthusiasm.
Bebe King, six, was killed along with Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine, at a Taylor Swift-themed dance party in the Merseyside town on July 29 last year.
Rudakubana was jailed for a minimum term of 52 years for the three murders and attempted murder of eight other children, who cannot be named for legal reasons, as well as class instructor Ms Lucas and businessman John Hayes.
