Gary Lineker weighed in on Man United and Tottenham's woeful campaigns this season, as both team languish in the bottom half of the Premier League table. Spurs are in 15th place, eight points off the relegation zone, while United are just two spots above them, having only won three of their 11 league games under Ruben Amorim.

Ange Postecoglou's side have tasted victory just once in their last 10 league outings. Both teams have all but waved goodbye to any hopes of competing in Europe next season through domestic success. Unless either of them can pull off a miracle and bring home the Europa League trophy, their players will likely be spending weekday evenings in 2025-26 in the comfort of their homes.

Lineker provided his verdict on which of these two struggling sides are worse off, arguing that Spurs' squad is better than United's and that they are in a more promising place under Postecoglou. 'I think if you had everyone fit then Tottenham are in a better place than Manchester United,' he said on The Rest is Football podcast.

Gary Lineker argued that Tottenham have a better squad than Man United if they were fully fit. Ruben Amorim has managed six wins, two draws and seven losses since joining Man United. Tottenham are winless in their last six league games and have won just one of their last 10.
