The train rammed the truck on a crossing and windows in cars at the front of the train shattered, the German news agency dpa reported, quoting a witness.
The Intercity Express train (ICE) was carrying 291 passengers at the time of the collision with a truck loaded with rails in Hamburg’s Rönneburg district.
One person was killed and 25 left injured after a high-speed train collided with a truck on the outskirts of Hamburg on Tuesday.
By Wednesday morning, the train had been towed away and one track of the railway line had been reopened.
Six of those injured are in a serious condition, police said, with the deceased identified as a 55-year-old passenger.
