Striking a different chord from the US approach, the Labour Government is looking to bolster Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) protections by proposing mandatory ethnicity pay gap reporting and enhancing workers' rights.

The DEI row back at Google comes after it removed a pledge from its artificial intelligence (AI) principles that said the company would not use the technology to develop weapons.
