Olympic star Adam Peaty was visibly moved by a touching message from his future father-in-law, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. The swimming hero, who's won three Olympic golds, earned silver at the Paris Games for the 100m breaststroke, adding to his illustrious sporting achievements. Peaty took his place on the podium a little over a year after dropping out of competition due to mental health and alcohol concerns.

Since then, Peaty has been open about his past struggles and credits his fiancée, Holly Ramsay, for her unflinching support—the couple announced their engagement in September. His bond with soon-to-be father-in-law Gordon has clearly grown stronger, as shown by an endearing moment on the High-Performance podcast when presenter Jake Humphrey read out a message from the famous chef.

"I want you to know he's an amazing young man with such a great attitude," Ramsay's text read. "Honestly, I could not ask for a more down-to-earth, respectable future son-in-law. What he's achieved is incredible and he's not done yet. Looking forward to catching up soon.".

Olympic swimmer Peaty was touched by Ramsay's message and discussed the support he had received from his partner's family. "That makes me emotional. I don't want to cry on the podcast, but it makes me very emotional," Peaty admitted. "In this last year or so, seeing how he performs, the balance he has to create in his life with high performance, family life and love, his children, and his wife is incredible.

"I love how he's already signing me up for LA [Olympics in 2028], but he's a great father-in-law. Hopefully, next year... we already call it father-in-law and mother-in-law," Peaty continued. "He's also very down to earth with what he's done and a great guide.
