Miami Dolphins wide receiver Grant DuBose did not travel back to Florida with his team and remained in a Houston hospital overnight after suffering a major neck injury during Sunday's game against the Texans. Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel provided the update on DuBose after the 20-12 loss to Houston, where his wide receiver went down with the injury during the third quarter of the AFC clash.
DuBose was tended to for several minutes before being carted off the field in Houston and taken to a local hospital. McDaniel said there was 'positive feedback' after DuBose got neck and head imaging done at the hospital, but that staying overnight at a local medical facility and not getting on an airplane back to Florida is what was best for the first-year Dolphin.
DuBose suffered the injury while reaching for a ball thrown by Tua Tagovailoa over the middle of the field. Texans defensive back Caleb Bullock made contact with DuBose at full speed, leading to the barbaric collision.
