Harry Kane is confident he will finally break his long-standing trophy curse in the near future and believes he hasn't yet reached his peak at the age of 31. Kane is still to win a major piece of silverware for club or country after losing a number of finals, having stumbled at the last hurdle at Euro 2020 and 2024 with England and in the Champions League in 2019 with Tottenham.
He joined Bayern Munich in a £100million deal in the summer of 2023 and was widely expected to lift his maiden cup last season, only to suffer more heartbreak after the Bundesliga giants went trophyless for the first time since 2012. Indeed, Bayern missed out on the league title after winning the previous 11, crashed out of the German Cup to a third division side, lost in the German Super Cup on Kane's debut and were also knocked out of the Champions League in the semi-finals.
The following summer, his chastening drought continued when England were narrowly defeated 2-1 by Spain in the European Championship final. However, Kane is hopeful that his 'best version' is around the corner. Harry Kane is confident he will finally end his trophy drought in the near future.
Kane has lost a number of major finals and hasn't won a cup with club or country. He stumbled at the last hurdle in the Champions League final with Tottenham in 2019. Quizzed on his lack of trophies by France Football, via L'Equipe, he said: 'I hear this question very often, as you can imagine. It is true, for the moment I have won individual awards as top scorer or best player.
