A teenager has been remanded into youth detention accommodation after he appeared in court today accused of murdering a 15-year-old boy at a school in Sheffield. Harvey Willgoose lost his life in the attack at All Saints Catholic High School during the lunch break on Monday. The boy, also 15, stood in the dock at Sheffield youth court accused of murder, possession of a bladed article and affray. He cannot be named due to his age, and his appearance triggered a warning from both South Yorkshire Police and prosecutors about any speculation about the offences on social media. Chris Hartley, deputy chief crown prosecutor for the CPS Yorkshire and Humberside, said: "The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that criminal proceedings against this defendant are active and that the youth has a right to a fair trial. "It is extremely important that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice these proceedings." Harvey's "utterly heartbroken" family paid tribute to their "beautiful boy, Harvey Goose" in a statement released on Tuesday evening. "Our lives are devastated and will never be the same again," they said. "We have lost a beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew and most importantly, a best friend to all. "Harvey will be forever known for being a caring, loving and funny young man." Floral tributes and cards were left in memory of the teenager outside All Saints Catholic High School, which has been closed since Monday. The CEO of the academy trust which runs the school expressed his "heartfelt" condolences to Harvey's family and friends. He described the teenager as an "immensely popular" young man, whose smile would "light up the room". A mass service will be held for Harvey at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Handsworth on Saturday. Almost £10,000 has been raised towards the cost of Harvey's funeral. Steve Davies, CEO of All Saints Catholic High School, said: "Harvey was an invaluable part of our school community. "An immensely popular young man with his fellow students and teachers alike, he had a smile that would light up the room. Harvey was young. He was precious. He was loved. "We are all struggling to process what has happened and our thoughts and prayers are with Harvey’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time." Bishop Ralph Heskett, Bishop of Hallam, added: "Our prayers, and those of every parish and school, are with Harvey, his parents, family, and friends for a young life lost and all those affected by this tragedy.".
