Health minister Andrew Gwynne sacked over WhatsApp comments MP removed from government and suspended from Labour party over posts on internal group.
Andrew Gwynne, a minister in the Department of Health and Social Care, has been sacked from the government over comments posted on an internal WhatsApp group.
A Labour spokesperson said: “Andrew Gwynne has been administratively suspended as a member of the Labour party.
Gwynne, 50, the MP for Gorton and Denton, has also been suspended by the Labour party over the messages reported by the Mail on Sunday.
A government spokesperson said on Saturday: “The prime minister is determined to uphold high standards of conduct in public office and lead a government in the service of working people.
