A healthy Christmas Eve salad bowl caused quite the stir as its main ingredient is a 'love it or hate it' addition. Sharing the recipe she uses every year for her family and friends, TikTok content creator @nutritiouslyeasy's delicious dish has caused a stir. In her video she shares the ingredients needed to make the salad, which will provide more than a few helpings for any festive parties this year.

But instead of usual ingredients like lettuce, the dish is reliant on holiday-themed trimmings, including a controversial ingredient. While it may impress guests, some in the comments were revolted by the major change, which seems to have gone down a treat elsewhere.

The content creator, whose real name is Maty Harrington, shared: "Here's the salad I make every year for Christmas Eve because it's super easy and healthy and my guests are always obsessed with it." As Maty shares the recipe, she showed the first ingredient was finely diced Brussels sprouts.

Adding bacon, pomegranates and parmesan cheese along with this, Maty said the recipe was a quick and easy festive party essential. She added: "It's just one of those dishes that people are always impressed with but little do they know that it only took you like, 10 minutes to whip up.

"Also a quick tip for if cruciferous vegetables like Brussels sprouts, make you bloat, sauté them for a few minutes. It really helps and tastes just as good." A list of ingredients for the dressing was also provided by the nutritionist. Three tablespoons of olive oil, one tablespoon of lemon juice, one tablespoon of Dijon mustard, as well as salt and pepper, were added to the dish.
