Homebase will close 33 more locations in February after it fell into administration in 2024. All impacted employees will receive at least two weeks' notice of their effective date of redundancy, according to the high street DIY and homeware business. The retailer has confirmed that this will be sent to their homes in the form of a letter. Additionally, they stated that all pay and benefits would be provided for the duration of their work.

Since Homebase went into administration in November, up to 70 of the branches have been bought by CDS Superstores, which now operate as Wilko, The Range, and Homebase. However, 74 branches were placed at risk of closing if no buyers could be found to take them on. The list of branches closing will now total 52, with 33 closing this month. Six branches closed before the end of 2024. After acquiring ten of the 74 properties Teneo listed for sale earlier in 2024, Sainsbury's is anticipated to purchase three more. B&Q also agreed to purchase five branches last month. This indicates that around four of the 74 stores on the list are still in danger of closing.

However, it is currently not known how many more Homebase stores are at risk of closing. Here is the full list of the 33 Homebase closures:. CDS Superstores, the owner of The Range and Wilko, acquired Homebase and revamped its website, offering an extensive range of home improvement products. Some of the old Homebase locations are also being repurposed and reopened under the The Range name. Some of the new locations will have “Garden Centres by Homebase” in addition to the items typically found in The Range. While “Kitchens by Homebase” areas will be included in others.
