HORRIFIED neighbours heard screams of "no, no, no!" as a dad-of-six was allegedly stabbed to death by his girlfriend. Louis Price, 31, died at his home in the Staffordshire town of Norton Canes in the early hours of Christmas morning. Kirsty Carless, 33, has been charged with his murder - while locals say they understand the victim was stabbed to death.
A mum-of-three, who lives two doors down in Elm Road, told MailOnline: "I heard something, it woke me up, and it was a girl crying loudly and saying over and again, 'no, no, no!'. "I didn't know what was going on but it sounded serious, I looked outside and the emergency services were everywhere.".
She went on to say she understood Louis lived at the property with his parents, but they were away in the Maldives for Christmas. She added: "We heard he was stabbed to death with a knife.". Cops had scrambled to reports of a man suffering cardiac arrest at the home at around 3.25am on Wednesday.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, Louis died at the scene a short time later. Carless was arrested at the property before appearing at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Saturday. She was remanded in custody yesterday. Staffordshire Police has referred itself to the IOPC watchdog "due to recent police contact", and there will be an inquest.
