FORTUNATE STAR (12.08 Southwell, nap). Is in fine form and can strike it lucky again. He has won his past two visits to the Nottinghamshire track and has been a close second on his past outings at Newcastle. The most recent of those was over six furlongs and this drop back to the minimum is a wise move. The handicapper has left his mark alone on a very fair 61 and his rider Zak Wheatley is good value for his 3lb claim.
BOBBI’S BEAUTY (3.23 Hereford, nb). Had six lengths in hand when scoring at Lingfield last month. That was much her best effort over fences and she reacted well to being held up for a later run. She is capable of improving past an 8lb rise in the weights and some give in the ground is ideal.
NORN IRON (3.00 Newbury, treble). Came back from 18 months off to show loads of promise when second at Uttoxeter last time. He was just getting going at the end of two miles and will improve for this longer distance. HELP ME RHONDA (7.00 Kempton, Lucky 15).
