LEQUINTO (2.55 Lingfield, nap). Tony Carroll’s flyer was more than a little unlucky when finishing second at Wolverhampton last time. The winner got first run on him after he found the door slammed in his face at a couple of key points. A rise of 1lb looks more than fair for that fast-finishing second and a repeat would be good enough.
ROSENPUR (1.25 Lingfield, nb). This five-year-old relished dropping back to today’s minimum trip when scooting in at Wolverhampton nine days ago. He had enough speed to go from the front and his staying power was a major asset in the closing stages. Billy Loughnane is a good judge of pace and can get the fractions right.
I’M TOO TIRED (3.08 Catterick). Has really woken up since going chasing. After a promising debut third at Musselburgh he landed a battling success at Sedgefield on Boxing Day. This longer trip will suit and there’s more to come. CHARLATAN (2.25 Lingfield).
