LANESBOROUGH (2.15 Chepstow, nap). This six-year-old went close to getting off the mark on handicap debut at Hereford 13 days ago. He travelled nicely there but had a mile to make up in the closing stages. Despite sprouting wings and flying up the straight, the finishing line came a couple of strides too soon and he had to settle for second. Moving up in distance looks a wise move and the handicapper has been more than fair with a 3lb rise in the weights.
PARTISAN HERO (4.30 Wolverhampton). Has been knocking on the door and this looks an excellent chance. He is another to come home with plenty left in the tank last time when having to settle for third. The extra furlong he tackles today should help and he can strike under Rossa Ryan.
