CARLTON (6.30 Chelmsford, nap). Can land a hat-trick of wins. He is one of many who has improved massively since joining talented trainer James Owen and he’s won cosily over course and distance on his past two runs. His latest victory was all the more impressive as he didn’t get the run of the race. He stays well and a 2lb rise in the weights is more than fair.
FOOLS RUSH IN (12.58 Lingfield, nb). Has been right back to his best on his past two runs, winning at Southwell before going close at Wolverhampton. The handicapper has left his mark alone and he stays over seven furlongs, which has been the key to his success.
CARBINE HARVESTER (1.58 Lingfield, treble). Has been in fine form for William Haggas, winning his past two runs without any trouble. He was particularly good when scooting in at Southwell 11 days ago and he’ll be hard to stop under a 6lb penalty. FOREVER PROUD (3.39 Lingfield, Lucky 15).
