With the warmer weather today, also comes significant rain and wind for some, with the Met Office issuing yellow weather warnings for parts of Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
Speaking about the unusual weather flip between the UK and parts of the Mediterranean, Met Office spokesman Grahame Madge said: ‘Temperatures in particular locations can vary markedly with some regions being considerably higher or lower than average.
‘If a normally warm region, like Greece, is experiencing colder than average conditions then that can create temporary anomalous situations where one normally warmer region is cooler than other normally cooler regions.
Turkey, popular with British tourists, is also seeing cooler weather, with temperatures today at around 10C in Antalya on the Turkish coast.
