Baby Driver star Hudson Joseph Meek has died aged just 16. The actor who was known for his role as young Baby in the 2017 film "Baby Driver," died earlier this week. Meek died on December 21, 2024, after succumbing to injuries sustained from falling out of a moving vehicle in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, on December 19.
Hudson began his acting career at a young age, quickly making a name for himself with his compelling performances. His portrayal of young Baby in "Baby Driver" showcased his exceptional talent and garnered attention in the film industry. Beyond "Baby Driver," Meek appeared in various television series, including " MacGyver," and lent his voice to the animated series "Found.".
On the evening of December 19, 2024, Meek was involved in a tragic accident in his hometown of Vestavia Hills. According to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office, he fell from a moving vehicle, sustaining blunt force injuries. Despite being rushed to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries two days later.
The Vestavia Hills Police Department is thoroughly investigating the case and his passing was solemnly confirmed through a post on his Instagram account which read: "Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight. His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met." His family has requested privacy during this difficult time and expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support from friends, family, and fans.
