A HUGE gas field has been discovered that could meet Britain’s fuel needs for ten years, an energy firm claims.
The Government would have to end the ban on fracking and also allow new oil and gas licensing — which it presently rules out.
The firm, Egdon Resources, will give more detail about the gas field, centred on the market town of Gainsborough.
Drilling could soon take place which will trigger the debate about fracking and create a Cabinet split.
The event will hear exploiting the Lincolnshire site could add up to £112billion to the economy.
