A Thames Water spokesperson said it currently did not have a timeframe for when supply would be restored, but that engineers had redirected some water supplies to try and ensure as many households as possible did not lose running water.
Thames Water said the problem was caused by a burst water main on Alleyn Road in Dulwich, as well as flooding at the Crystal Palace pumping station.
Hundreds of people across south London have been left with no or little water for more than 12 hours after a Thames Water pipe burst.
“Our team has been working overnight to fix the pipe and will continue to work throughout today, and our engineers have been working to get your water supply back while we carry out the fix.”.
Another added in a message to Thames Water: "Will you be providing bottled water?
