Following the festive season, savvy shoppers are scrambling to get their hands on the popular 'Too Good To Go' bargains as Christmas and New Year leftovers dwindle. The innovative service links people with restaurants and shops that have excess unsold food which can be bought at a fraction of the price, leading to a frenzy of excitement online among deal hunters praising the app for its incredible savings.
One chuffed customer, Claire, took to Facebook to share the contents of her £5 Marks and Spencer 'Too Good To Go Bag' from an M&S Moto service area. She exclaimed her shock at the value, saying: "£5 and got over £65 worth of food if it was full price (about half that value if I count the yellow sticker price).".
Her impressive haul included discounted sandwiches, strawberry milk, a mini pizza, quiche Lorraine, wraps, pasta salads, falafel, carrots with hummus, boiled eggs, a poke bowl, and katsu chicken rolls. Fellow deal enthusiasts were stunned at Claire's bag, with one user exclaiming: "Fab bag, those salad bowls are about a fiver by themselves.".
Despite many people picking up huge bargains in their 'Too Good To Go' bag, like Claire, another user of the app didn't have quite as much luck back in October. Aaliyah Anderson took to TikTok to share what came in her £2 Too Good To Go bag that she picked up from Morrisons. And it's safe to say she didn't particularly think it was good value for money.
