I’m A Celebrity star Myles Stephenson has revealed his young daughter Sahara was rushed to hospital after she ‘stopped breathing’ and ‘turned blue’. The singer, who rose to fame winning The X Factor in 2017 as part of band Rak-Su, took to Instagram to share an update with his followers.
He posted a picture of his two-year-old daughter in A&E, describing the incident as ‘the scariest thing [he’d] ever seen’. The 33-year-old explained: ‘This little princess had a seizure yesterday evening and stopped breathing and turnt [sic] blue! Single handedly the scariest thing I’ve ever seen!.
‘Her temperature spiked causing a (febrile) seizure. For any parents with young children please look up Febrile Seizures and research. ‘It will not only help your child but also you if it should ever happen. Especially during flu season.’. According to the NHS, a febrile seizure can sometimes occur when a child has a high temperature and can last for two to three minutes.
It’s unlikely to harm a child or cause long-term effects, but may cause them to become unconscious, become stiff and twitch, shake or have jerking movements. Myles shares Sahara and son Shiloh with partner Keli Hall, who said on her Instagram: ‘Very scary day with this one yesterday, don’t want to let her go today.’.
In 2023, Myles tragically opened up about ‘dealing with demons’ after learning that their son Shiloh, who he welcomed with Keli in 2021, had suffered a stroke. He had earlier revealed that the then-two-year-old had suffered a stroke sometime before, during, or shortly after birth, and wanted to raise awareness of hemiplegic cerebral palsy.
