'I'm a Wrexham star – here's why Ryan Reynolds apologised after taking me to Hollywood' Paul Mullin has been a Wrexham superhero for years – so playing one in a Hollywood movie should've felt like second nature to him.
In 2023, the 30-year-old was handed the opportunity of a lifetime when Wrexham owner Ryan Reynolds asked him to be part of his upcoming film Deadpool & Wolverine.
Mullin played the role of 'Welshpool' – a Welsh version of Reynolds' iconic character Deadpool – and while it was a non-speaking cameo, the striker was nonetheless given the "royalty treatment" by production staff.
Ryan and all the crew made sure I was in and out as quickly as possible – I suppose I got the royalty treatment, as if I was Ryan Reynolds.
And to think, when Reynolds asked Mullin to take part, he actually apologised to him.
