THE Dubai skyline is set to undergo a major change with two new skyscrapers due to be built which will be connected by an exclusive sky pool. Regent Residences Dubai will be made up of two 591ft skyscrapers with an apartment on each floor and will be topped with what architects call an "ultra-penthouse.".

The mammoth $1 billion project at the Marasi Marina is scheduled for completion in 2027. It will have 60 luxury apartments measuring over 6,500 square feet, each with a balcony pool. "Every apartment is orientated to offer panoramic views of the Burj Khalifa (the world's tallest building) while capturing the city’s spectacular sunrises and sunsets," architect firm Foster + Partners said.

But, the true gem of the project is the sprawling 35,000-square-foot penthouse. This top-floor apartment will have six bedrooms, a gym, and a private elevator. It will also have private use of the "sky pool" that connects both skyscrapers. While residents of the other apartments will not have access to this luxury 43-foot infinity pool, they will be able to use the development's 82-foot indoor lap pool as well as their own.

They will also have access to private dining spaces, a gym, and integrated stores at the bottom of the building and green space. Also at the bottom of the luxury development are 10 floating residences that are being called "water villas.". Water is a key inspiration behind the design of the building so it reflects its marina environment.
