THE INCREDIBLE nine-bedroom mansion, once owned by a pop eighties legend, has been put up for sale for just £180,000. Situated just off the coast of Scotland, Pennyghael House was first purchased by Phil Collins-led rock band Genesis in 1985. The group purchased the house in the Ross of Mull Peninsula the same year Collins released his third studio album, No Jacket Required.

Investing £500,000 into the land, the band owned the now derelict property until 1997. The rockers, Phil Collins, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford were all involved. Home to nine-bedrooms, it is situated on nearly 12 acres of land. The estate was put up for sale in 2021, for offers over £5 million, but now, the mansion is being listed for offers over £180,000.

Listed by Bidwells, the description highlights the property's stunning rural location on the Isle of Mull - known for its white sand beaches, wildlife, and breathtaking coastlines, and the home's history, which dates back to 1819. In particular, the property side has drawn focus to the "enchanting woodlands and grazing", "former walled garden", and opportunity for development.

Pictures show the dramatic coastline with the property surrounded by greenery. A fence currently sits around the property, presumably to keep others out of the derelict building and any potential hazards. The description reads: "Once the focal point of Pennyghael Estate, the house now lies in a derelict state but offers a wonderful opportunity for the next custodians to either restore the current house or develop a new property elsewhere on the site, subject to the necessary permissions being obtained.
