All eyes may be on Donald Trump as he navigates his first weeks as the 47th president of the United States, but his son Barron Trump has amassed a lot of attention too. As Trump’s youngest child, Barron, 18, showed his support for his father at the inaugural parade in Washington, DC where he appeared to revel in the attention when he waved to the crowd. Although this is the second time his father has entered the White House, things are a lot different this time around for the teen. Having graduated from Oxbridge Academy last May, Barron is now a student at New York University, meaning he will spend a lot less time at the White House.
But despite being more than 200 miles away, his mother Melania has revealed that he will have a room there so he can “come and visit” when he pleases. As he forges his own path during his studies, let’s take a closer look inside his college experience…. Unlike his father, who studied at University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, Barron chose to study at the Stern School of Business. Back in September, Trump praised his son’s success at securing a spot at the college and revealed that he’d been “accepted to a lot of colleges” before making his final decision.
“He's a very smart guy, and he'll be going to Stern, the business school, which is a great school at N.Y.U,” Trump told DailyMail.com. He added: “He's a very high aptitude child, but he's no longer a child. He's just passed into something beyond child-dom. He's, he's doing great.”. Away from his academic success, Barron is reportedly popular among his peers. “He’s at Stern so he’s studying business in some way,” a source said to People. “He’s a ladies’ man for sure. He’s really popular with the ladies.”.
They continued: “He’s tall and handsome. A lot of people seem to think he’s pretty attractive - yes, even liberal people like him.”. Despite his alleged popularity with other students, the teen has reportedly been ‘keeping his head down’ while at NYU. A student allegedly told The Mail On Sunday: “We're not hearing anything bad about him, which suggests he's keeping his head down.”. Unlike many other students, Barron is allegedly living off campus and is residing at his family’s famous home, Trump Tower, for the time being. Speaking to People, a source claimed that his mother Melania is helping him navigate this new period of his life.
“She will do everything she can to make sure Barron does well in school and is socially and mentally adjusted to his life as a college student,” the source alleged. “Living in a dorm in a college town isn’t in the stars for him at this point.”. Meanwhile, speaking to Fox News in September, Melania opened up on her son’s choice to study in New York. “It was his decision to come here that he wants to be in New York and study in New York and live in his home, and I respect that,” she explained. “I hope he will have a great experience because his life is very different than any other 18, 19-year-old child.”.
According to reports, Barron appears to be following in his father’s footsteps by incorporating a luxury real estate business. The college student reportedly incorporated the business, Trump, Fulcher & Roxburgh Capital Inc, alongside his business partners in July last year, though it was dissolved in November following his father’s win at the election, Newsweek has alleged. However, Cameron Roxburgh, the company’s co-founder, has said the company was dissolved to avoid election-related media attention and added that he hopes that it will be relaunched in spring. He also claimed that the president had given Barron “private advice” regarding the business, though there is no financial backing from the Trump Organisation.
