United’s woeful form at home has shown no signs of ending, all too easily beaten by Crystal Palace last weekend. Ruben Amorim has religiously stuck to his 3-4-3 formation and he now has a player at his disposal who was specifically brought to the club to fit it. Patrick Dorgu could be the manager’s solution at left wing-back where both Diogo Dalot, Noussair Mazraoui and Tyrell Malacia have toiled this season. ‘He has to integrate really fast because we lose some players on loan in this moment,’ Amorim said this week.
‘We want to build a different team. We start with these different kinds of players like Dorgu. He’s a young player, of course he’s going to need time because this is a different level, a different league, but the physicality is there, the quality is there and he can play both sides. ‘That is important, to cope whether we want to play on the left or the right, that is really important for us. He’s a talented, hungry guy, and that is the profile we’re looking for.’.
United have lost at home to Newcastle, Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth, Brighton and Crystal Palace since Ruben Amorim’s arrival in November. Can Leicester inflict more misery tonight? Some pre-match odds for you here as we count down to kick-off. Manchester United – 1/4. Draw – 7/2. Leicester – 13/2. Odds via Betfair. But an injury is set to rule him out this evening with Andre Onana expected to start between the sticks.
