Is Three down? Mobile users report increasing problems

Three customers are reporting increased network issues today. According to Down Detector, thousands of people have raised issues with Three within the past few hours – and the number of reports seems to be rising. Most of the reports refer to network issues, with comments on the site from users stating they “can’t make or receive calls”.
Three Users located in London, Manchester and Cornwall have all posted about issues with their mobile service on social media. Three’s official account on X, formerly Twitter, posted: “We're aware of an issue affecting a small percentage of voice services, our team are working hard to fix this as soon as possible. We're really sorry for any inconvenience caused. Data services and 999 calls are unaffected, please bear with us.”.
People that use Three can check the status of the network in their area by going to the network support page and typing in their postcodes. It’s not the first time Three has been rocked by technical difficulties. Last year, the operator was hit with widespread outages that lasted over four days.
At the time, the network apologised to affected customers, saying: “Some customers may be experiencing issues with our network this morning. Our engineers are working hard to fix it. “This issue is also impacting customer service, so please check back here for the latest updates.
“We're very sorry for the issues with service over the past few days and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.”. The disruption comes after Three and Vodafone’s £15 billion merger was approved by the UK competition regulator. Once the deal is cemented in the first half of this year, it will create the UK’s largest mobile operator, with some 27 million customers.
