Ange Postecoglou has admitted Tottenham's 2-1 loss to strugglers Leicester 'hurts a lot'. Despite taking the lead through Richarlison, Spurs ended up being beaten, with Jamie Vardy and Bilal El Khannouss both scoring second-half goals for Leicester. Postecoglou's side are languishing in 15th place in the Premier League table and have already suffered 13 league defeats this season.

The 59-year-old, despite the side's poor run of results, has backed his players as he inissted 'things just didn't go our way today. 'Yeah, it hurts. It hurts a lot. The players gave everything again,' Postecoglou told Premier League Productions. 'We are going to look at a lot of things, but in terms of effort I can't ask anymore of this group, things just didn't go our way today,'.

'We created some good opportunities and unfortunately things just didn't drop for us because not because the players weren't trying and that's the main thing.
