THIERRY HENRY has expressed sympathy for Pep Guardiola after the Manchester City boss split from his wife. Things have gone wrong for Guardiola on and off the pitch this season, with the 5-1 drubbing against Arsenal the latest low for his misfiring side. City scraped through the Champions League and are at risk of failing to finish in the top four after winning just four of their last ten Prem games.

Meanwhile Guardiola, 54, split from his partner of 36 years Cristina Serra last month, which has coincided with the dip in form. “You can see that he's not his usual self. I had to deal with it when I went to Barcelona, I can tell you it's not easy. No one would like to deal with that while you have to perform all the time. So I think we can understand. “Now if you go back on the field, it's not good enough.
