Bullseye has made a comeback after a 30-year hiatus, with a festive special hosted by former cricketer and presenter Freddie Flintoff. The darts-themed game show is the latest to join the trend of revamped classics, following in the footsteps of Blockbusters, Catchphrase, and The Price Is Right.

Freddie Flintoff, known for his role in A League of Their Own, is stepping into the shoes of original host Jim Bowen. In the Christmas special airing on December 22, he'll be guiding three teams of two, comprising amateur darts players and quiz enthusiasts, as they compete to win points and prizes.

However, the show's modern take on the classic opening credits and music has left some viewers underwhelmed. Although the iconic Bully character and theme tune made an appearance, the updated sequence omitted the beloved cartoon and transitioned into a contemporary song as Flintoff entered the set.

Fans took to X (formerly Twitter ) to express their disappointment. One user wrote: "Already ruined #bullseye with the music". Another commented: "No c**p animated opening sequence. This has fallen at the first hurdle .". A third viewer agreed, saying: "One minute into the Bullseye reboot and already disappointed that the opening credits didn't have the cow driving the bus".
