Simon, 50, graced the Loose Women panel on ITV's chat show on Thursday, January 1 to open up about his personal battle with mental health challenges, shedding light on the issue in an effort to help others going through similar troubles.
Veteran soap character Steve McDonald, played by Simon since the tender age of 15, recalled his own ordeal, admitting: "Yeah, with me it all came to a head in about 2015," reports the Liverpool Echo.
She continued to express her admiration: "So you wouldn't have been with Simon and thought 'oh' because he was really good at hiding it and he felt like he had to hide it.
