Speaking about the couple that inspired the show, the 46-year-old revealed: "My mate Gavin met his girlfriend because he worked in sales and she worked in accounts but they used to speak on the phone," reports Wales Online.
Fans of the series have been on an emotional rollercoaster since the final scenes played out, but they were given a chance to bid adieu with the BBC documentary A Fond Farewell, which graced screens on New Year's Day.
