Jasmin Savoy Brown 'joins Scream 7 cast... while ANOTHER beloved character is dropped from upcoming sequel' A familiar face is joining the cast of Scream 7.
The casting means that Patrick Dempsey won't be playing Sidney's husband, after viewers previously assumed his character Detective Mark Kincaid had at some point wed Prescott, with her spouse being named 'Mark' in the last two Scream films.
Brown, 30, played Mindy in 2023's Scream IV and 2022's Scream.
Dempsey, who appeared in Scream 3, previously said he was in talks about reprising his role as Kincaid for the seventh installment.
Entertainment Weekly has since reported that the Grey's Anatomy alum, 59, will not be in Scream 7.
