Jurgen Klopp enjoyed a perfect start to life with Red Bull after taking in his first game. The ex-Liverpool boss left Anfield in the summer and was surprisingly picked up by the energy drink manufacturers. He was appointed as their head of global soccer.

Having not officially started the role until January 1, Klopp has now been spotted taking in a game. He was in attendance for Paris FC’s 1-0 win against Ligue 2 rivals Amiens - and that victory took one of the clubs he oversees to the top of the table.

Red Bull are a minority owner of the French side, holding a 15 per cent stake. They struck a deal for the side in November alongside Antoine Arnault, who purchased a 55 per cent stake. THE FA CUP GIANT KILLERS: Get your special edition magazine celebrating some of the game's greatest-ever upsets.

Former owner Pierre Ferracci still retains a 30 per cent share of the club but will relinquish that in 2027. Paris FC are a number of clubs overseen by Red Bull alongside RB Leipzig, New York Red Bulls, Red Bull Salzburg and Red Bull Bragantino, while they have also invested in Championship side Leeds United.

Klopp, 57, has faced pushback for his role with Red Bull, particularly from supporters of his former club Borussia Dortmund. But he claimed that he tried to select a role that was away from the dugout for now. He said: “You cannot make your decision depending on what reactions there will be. I did not want to step on anyone's toes. I love all my former clubs, but I don't know what I could have done so that everyone is happy.
