Justin Kluivert revealed his delight at overtaking his legendary father's scoring record at St James' Park after bagging a hat-trick in Bournemouth's shock 4-1 win over Newcastle. The Dutchman produced another electric showing as he returned to the Cherries starting XI by scoring three brilliant strikes with his final effort a wicked shot from range.
Kluivert's mesmerising dribbling and creativity made it a nightmare afternoon for Newcastle's defenders who were helpless to stop Bournemouth putting a damning end to their nine-match winning streak. His father, Patrick, previously played one season for Newcastle after joining on a free transfer in 2004 having left Barcelona and went on to make 37 appearances for the club.
