A new murder mystery series streaming on Disney+ will debut a different kind of role for a beloved comedy star. Kaitlin Olson stars in High Potential as Morgan, a single mother with an exceptional mind who helps figure out an unsolvable crime when she rearranges some evidence during her shift as a cleaner at the police station. She soon finds herself hired as a consultant to work with a by-the-book seasoned detective.

The actress brings her seasoned comedic ability to the role while flexing more dramatic muscles. However the character is very different from what some fans will be used to seeing as she has appeared in all 16 seasons of foul-mouthed It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

But who is Kaitlin Olson? Who is her co-star husband and how has she been impacted by recent LA wildfires? Here's what you need to know. Kaitlin Olson was born in Portland, Oregon, on August 18, 1975, and spent much of her young life on a farm. She studied acting at the University of Oregon and soon moved to Los Angeles to pursue her career after graduating in 1997.

It wasn't too long before she found her big break, as she earned a role on HBO's comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm, playing Larry David's sister-in-law in episodes airing in 2000. In 2004, she was cast in perhaps her most notable role as Deandra 'Sweet Dee' Reynolds in It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, where she would meet her future spouse and co-star Rob McElhenney.

In 2015, Olson told Buzzfeed that McElhenney, who also serves as a writer on the show alongside Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton, was disappointed in her audition after she omitted a line from the script. She said: "I left the room, and Rob was like, 'How did she leave out the funniest line that was in there?' and he didn't want to cast me. He had to be talked into hiring me.".
